Code: LS3821
Grip Tight Plus circuit breaker lockout LS3821 for moulded case circuit breakers (480/600 V) with handle width up to 19 mm. It is compatible with a wide variety of breaker handle shapes and sizes, and a permanently fixed cleat provides extra switch throw blocking when needed. A large knurled thumbscrew with a slot for optional screwdriver adjustment makes tightening easy, so no tools are required for installation. A circuit breaker lockout holds the breaker handle in a fixed position, typically OFF, and is secured with a padlock so the circuit cannot be switched during maintenance.

BUYER'S GUIDE
Choosing a Circuit Breaker Lockout
A circuit breaker lockout holds the breaker toggle in the OFF position so it cannot be switched on while work is under way. Fit depends on the breaker type, size and toggle shape.
- Identify the breaker first: miniature (MCB), moulded case (MCCB) or large industrial, single or multi-pole, and the toggle width and thickness.
- Pin-in and pin-out types fit the holes beside the toggle; clamp-on types grip the toggle itself and suit breakers without holes.
- Tool-free designs are quicker to fit; screw-fixed designs hold more firmly on large breakers.
- A lockout device does not replace verification. After locking, test that the circuit is de-energised before work starts.
