LCB16 Large Type Circuit Breaker Lockout, MCCB Handle up to 20 mm
Code: LCB16
Large type circuit breaker lockout LCB16 made of engineering plastic strengthened nylon PA with a chrome-plated brass locking screw, so no other tools are needed to lock it. A U-shaped stainless steel sheet makes the grip firmer, and it suits a large variety of MCCBs with handle thickness up to 20 mm as well as special button-type circuit breakers. It is locked with 1 padlock with a shackle up to 7 mm. A circuit breaker lockout holds the breaker handle in a fixed position, typically OFF, and is secured with a padlock so the circuit cannot be switched during maintenance.

BUYER'S GUIDE
Choosing a Circuit Breaker Lockout
A circuit breaker lockout holds the breaker toggle in the OFF position so it cannot be switched on while work is under way. Fit depends on the breaker type, size and toggle shape.
- Identify the breaker first: miniature (MCB), moulded case (MCCB) or large industrial, single or multi-pole, and the toggle width and thickness.
- Pin-in and pin-out types fit the holes beside the toggle; clamp-on types grip the toggle itself and suit breakers without holes.
- Tool-free designs are quicker to fit; screw-fixed designs hold more firmly on large breakers.
- A lockout device does not replace verification. After locking, test that the circuit is de-energised before work starts.
Summarised from the manufacturer's catalogue and the general requirements for lockout devices in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147. Device selection must follow your written energy isolation procedure and site risk assessment.
