Choosing a Lockout Station or Box
Stations and boxes keep lockout devices organised, visible and close to the equipment. A group lock box lets a whole crew control one lockout through the keys of the isolation locks.
- Size the station for the number of padlocks, hasps and tags that the area needs, plus spares.
- In group lockout, the isolation lock keys go into the box and each worker places a personal lock on the box.
- Wall-mounted stations suit fixed work areas; portable bags and boxes suit maintenance crews that move between sites.
