Choosing a LOTO Kit or Training Board
Kits bundle the padlocks, hasps, tags and devices a crew needs for a type of work. Training boards let workers practise the isolation sequence on real devices before doing it on live equipment.
- Compare the kit contents with the energy sources in your equipment list, not the other way round.
- Electrical, valve and general kits differ; mixed plants often need more than one kit.
- Add personal padlocks if the kit locks are fewer than the crew size.
