Economic steel lockout hasp with hook L420HRED, 1" (25 mm) jaw, accepting up to 6 padlocks. It is made of hardened powder-coated steel that is durable and resists rust. A double locking arrangement with hooks on the jaws prevents the jaws from being pulled apart. A lockout hasp lets several workers place their own padlocks on a single energy isolation point, so the equipment cannot be re-energized until the last padlock is removed.

Choosing a Lockout Hasp
A lockout hasp lets several workers lock the same isolation point. The device stays locked until the last worker removes their padlock.
- Match the jaw diameter to the hole or handle of the device being locked.
- Count the padlock holes against the largest crew that will work on that point at one time.
- Use non-conductive nylon hasps near energised electrical parts; steel and aluminium hasps give more strength in heavy industrial use.
- Tag the hasp so every worker on it can be identified.
